Raised in Southern California, I have always lived by the beach and wouldn't know what to do if I didn't. The ocean is very calming to me and I love the beach!
I met my hubby, Billy, approximately nine years ago. It took him four of those years to marry me. We have now been married for over five years and he has married me again every anniversary. I know ahhhh...read more about our how we celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary in my post on Italian sausage and red basil sauce with rigatoni. Yes, we still act like newlyweds.
By marring my hubby, I gained two beautiful and intelligent step-daughters. Melia surfs Malibu practically every day and Gigi is our track star. These two love to eat sweets and carbs, but have made a recent switch to eating healthier. I'm so glad that they did!
My biological daughter, Jade, is a beautiful and eccentric young lady. She is half Pacific Asian, very petite but a firecracker, and a freespirit.
My babies, Rocco and Dolce, are our Lab and Lhasa. Boy, they are spoiled! And we wouldn't have it any other way.
About Malibu Kitchen
I began this blog in October 2011, documenting my recipes and photographs as I cooked our family meals. Being a very inexperienced blogger, I was unsure of the direction which I wanted my blog to go. Did I want to post recipes by step by step or in abundance? Today, it has evolved into more of an artistic recipe blog, documenting my life, the beach, and what I eat, one I hope to turn into a cookbook some day.
Recipes from this blog are inspired by my life experiences, beach surroundings, and family. I often choose recipes that are simple, appealing, and delicious. Most are recipes adapted from my huge cookbook collection. Often, gathering the same recipe from several of my cookbooks, thus creating my own unique and unsurpassed tasting recipe.
My cookbook collection can be browsed through the Cookbook Store tab, located on the Home page of this blog.
I shoot all my own photographs and use Canon Rebel or Canon SD970 IS.
